Atascosa County
400 Mbps Air Fiber. No contracts. No data caps. Local support you can actually reach.
Serving the gateway between Bexar and Atascosa counties, where suburban San Antonio meets the rural outskirts, Atascosa is a growing residential community that needs internet to match its pace.
Most households here are on satellite — there haven't been many alternatives. STI's Air Fiber delivers 400 Mbps for $65/month. No contract, with local South Texas support that actually picks up the phone.
ZIP code served: 78002
Coverage note: Coverage in 78002 is consistent across most of the community, and installs are typically completed within a business day of signup. If your address is on a rural route outside the main FM 476 corridor, call (830) 429-4149 to confirm line-of-sight before signing up.
Atascosa sits in the stretch where San Antonio's south-side build-out gives way to rural acreage and ranch lots. AT&T DSL is available at some addresses but maxes out around 10–25 Mbps on aging copper, and other wired options are limited. For many households wanting real speeds, Starlink has been the default.
A lot of Atascosa residents commute into San Antonio and work hybrid schedules. For VPN connections, video calls, and shared drives, upload matters as much as download — STI delivers 25 Mbps up consistently.
Many of the households calling us from 78002 are in homes built in the last few years on former ranchland. Air Fiber doesn't need a trench dug to your property line, so a subdivision going up this year doesn't have to wait on a cable buildout that may never come. Southwest ISD serves the area.
When something goes wrong, you call (830) 429-4149 — and you talk to someone who lives and works in South Texas. Not a ticket system. Not an overseas call center. And new customers are installed within one business day.

Usually. Many of our 78002 customers are in homes built in the last few years on former ranchland, and Air Fiber doesn't need a trench dug to your property line. Installs are typically done within a business day; rural routes off FM 476 should call (830) 429-4149 first.

Air Fiber comes from a ground-based tower here in South Texas, not a satellite in orbit. Many Atascosa County households compare it with Starlink, whose 400 Mbps plan is $130/month; STI is $65/month with 25 Mbps upload for video calls and remote work — $780/year less than Starlink's 400 Mbps plan.
