Medina County
400 Mbps Air Fiber. No contracts. No data caps. Local support you can actually reach.
In the county seat where the famous 'This is God's Country' sign greets travelers on US-90, and where Friday nights at the Hondo Owl stadium bring the whole community together, STI is proud to be Hondo's hometown internet provider.
Most households here are comparing Starlink, at $130/month for its 400 Mbps plan, against whatever satellite option covers their address. STI's Air Fiber delivers 400 Mbps for $65/month. No contract, no data caps, and local support based right here in Hondo.
ZIP code served: 78861
Coverage note: Most addresses in 78861 can be confirmed and installed within one business day. If you're on a ranch address outside city limits, call (830) 429-4149 first — coverage depends on line-of-sight from our nearest tower and we'll tell you straight whether we can serve you.
Hondo sits at the center of STI's coverage area — our office and tech team are based here, and Medina County is where our network is deepest.
AT&T DSL is available on some Hondo streets but tops out around 10–25 Mbps on aging copper lines, and other wired options are limited. For most households, the real choice has been Starlink or nothing fast — until STI.
Working from home in Hondo is a real thing now. Whether you're remoting into San Antonio, running a small business off US-90, or just trying to stream without buffering on a Friday night, 400 Mbps handles it. Upload matters too — STI delivers 25 Mbps up, which is what video calls and file uploads actually need.
Hondo has been the Medina County seat since an 1892 election moved the courthouse from Castroville.
Nearby: STI also serves D'Hanis, Quihi, and Dunlay on the same $65/month plan.
When something goes wrong, you call (830) 429-4149 — and you talk to someone who lives and works in South Texas. Not a ticket system. Not an overseas call center. And new customers are installed within one business day.
